Welcome to Ox’s Smoked Meats! Our store opened May 4th, 2012. Store owner Cliff Hengesbach, has over 33 years of experience in the butchering business. He also does custom butchering at Hengesbach’s Processing in Saranac. How our store got the name Ox’s Smoked Meats, is when Cliff was in High School, his friends gave him the nickname Ox.  Probably because he is 6’6″.  None of our meat is Ox meat

Our smokers are made locally right here in Michigan. We use USDA Grade meat cases for bacon, ground hamburger, shaved turkey, half hams, and whole chickens.

We also specialize in an assortment of smoked products, such as Bologna, snack sticks, hot dogs, summer sausage, chicken, oxwurst, jerky, cheeses and more. Besides our smoked meats we carry a case of fresh meat, including but not limited to: Homemade breakfast sausage, chicken, pork, beef, and our delicious homemade brats.

We stock a selection of both import and domestic beer.

We carry a variety of Made in Michigan products, like Mackinaw Island Fudge products, jars of pickles, dry beans that are grown in grand ledge, MI GMO FREE & NO CHEMICALS, Williams Cheeses, and Better Made potato chips.
